About Us

Who we are

We are The Kingfisher, an independent family-owned bookstore on Coupeville's historic waterfront and we love books.  We are learners and books are our teachers. We are creators and books are our inspiration. We are travelers and books are our ships. We are dreamers and books are our guides.

What we do

We want to match everyone who walks in the door with a book they will love. We specialize in books by Pacific Northwest writers and about the human and natural history of this incredible part of the world, but we have a little bit of everything...

We are excited to start welcoming local and visiting authors to meet you this summer!
